AV input on Honda Accord Sat Nav 2004 DVD IPOD video on screen!
Author: Katalin // Category: Apple
Heres a long video which i hope will show you everything that you can do with the NAVTOOL on your Honda Accord CL7/CN1 (mines a CN1) navigation screen. In this video i show the basic video mode, photo slide shows, slideshows with music and also video podcast all off of my ipod classic 80gb. but of course you can have anything linked though to send the Yellow Phono type lead input onto your screen. I am using NTSC as it gave a better picture then PAL, but really doesnt matter as you can change these things on the ipod itself. I am also using my XCARLINK ipod adapter and a switch box from maplins to allow me to control 3 input sources but i never change it from this one, although it does allow me to plug in the XCARLINK ipod adapters seperate 3.5mm jackplug into it, this way i use the white lead when playing video and it will allow the sound to come from the lead and video then be processed seperately but as you can see they integrate together very well. at first i only had the NAVTOOL and then i used an itrip for my old 5.5g ipod video as you know the video used to come from the top headphone jack on the old ipods. But with the newer ipods its all in the bottom dock. If i havent covered anything please ask in the comments and then i will reply back to you.

@anthony8o9 i use the navtool for video and the xcarlink just for sounds, i looked up the USAspec it dont have the 3.5mm input which is what you need. i got a seperate video lead and then a little box from maplins which lets you plug the RCAS into the 3.5mm very cheap and effective.

This is quite cool. Will get this NAVTOOL myself. How did you create the audio input? As the NAVTOOL is only for picture I think?
